E4 awarded Constructionline Gold Membership Certificate

Going for Gold

This year at e4 environmental, we went for the next step which is Gold in our Constructionline membership, where we have previously held a Silver Membership Accreditation. This involved more administration work in the office to achieve this status, but we are proud to have been awarded our certificate. This means we now hold both Silver & Gold memberships with Constructionline.

We are striving to always improve the company and our standards, and this is another step in the right direction. Well done team!

Q: What is asbestos?

Asbestos is a naturally occuring mineral, which was produced through mining. It has incredibly strong, heat-resistant properties which is why it was used for so many things. To learn more about what is asbestos, read our blog post here

Q: Why is asbestos hazardous to my health?

The fibres of the asbestos materials are long, thin strands that are very small. When inhaled, these fibres latch on to your lungs and organs and when built up over time can cause Asbestosis or Mesothelioma, both fatal and incurable diseases. For further information on why asbestos can be dangerous, read our blog.

Q: What should I do if I find asbestos?

Before removals can take place, the type of asbestos needs to be identified with an independent surveyor to determine the exact properties. Never attempt to remove it yourself, and call a professional such as ourselves. If it is in bad condition it may be treated as an urgent matter.
